Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn

The Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn is one of 23 within the Anglican Church of Australia and encompasses a diverse and vast region, including the entire ACT and parts of south-eastern New South Wales, ranging from Wagga Wagga in the west to Marulan in the north and the Far South Coast. Each area within the Diocese has its own unique history and sense of community. The first Anglican School in Canberra was Canberra Girls Grammar School in 1926 and the proposed opening year of Stromlo Forest Anglican College will be exactly 100 years since that date.

Mission

The Anglican Education mission is providing a holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual development of students. The main objective is to equip students with the knowledge, skill, and values required to lead a successful and fulfilling lives, while fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of the Anglican faith.

Company and Diocesan Schools

Education is a key mission focus for the Diocese and our structure enables partnerships to be developed between schools and parishes. The Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn has five Diocesan Schools and three Company Schools.

The three company schools are:

  • Canberra Girls Grammar School

  • Radford College
